Business due diligence should create clarity—not accusations.
What is business due diligence?
It is the process of verifying material claims, ownership, operating history, credentials, legal and regulatory records, financial documentation and other evidence before entering a commercial relationship.
Is this a background check?
No. This is an informational business-research tool. It is not a consumer report, credit report, criminal background check, employment screening service or tenant screening service.
Does “unverified” mean false?
No. It means sufficient reliable evidence was not located. Missing public evidence can create a diligence question, but it does not establish wrongdoing.
Does litigation or bankruptcy automatically make someone a bad partner?
No. Context, disposition, disclosure, relevance and subsequent conduct all matter. Allegations are not adjudicated findings, and business failure is not automatically dishonesty.
